Best World 500m Wingfoil by our 19-year-old rider Pierre Schmitz / Zephir Project at the Prince of Speed event !

The video shows Pierre during this run, which reached an average speed of 35.26 knots during the official Prince of Speed / Farrel Cup competition. It took place at the Rouet spot in La Palme (Aude), near Leucate, setting the Best World 500m in wingfoil during an official event.

Best World 500m performance in Wingfoil for his first speed competition:

“It’s fantastic—I love this feeling. My gear stays incredibly stable at these speeds, and I can’t wait for my next pure-speed foil. It’s insane!” The world record in wingfoiling is an extra source of motivation for him.

Following in the footsteps of his friend and mentor Antoine Albeau, Pierre joined the Zephir Project adventure right from the start in 2020. He was 14 at the time. And his eyes were full of stars!

Years of hard work, trust, friendship, and perseverance are paying off. In fact, thanks to our partnership model, the Zephir Project is really taking off. All this with a meticulous scientific approach, focused on a sustainable future.

The short-term goals are clear and publicly stated

40 knots over 500 meters and a nautical mile on a windfoil with Antoine. A new wingfoil record with Pierre at over 40 knots is also planned. In addition, 100 km/h (54 knots) over 500m is the stated goal for Antoine on a classic windsurf board, with a fin, raising the bar even higher for a future world record in wingfoil.
