Eco-friendly windsurfing—and even circular !!! (Videos)

This is a huge step forward in the Zephir Project’s collective journey. We’re unveiling this panel at the JEC World trade show from March 10 to 12, 2026.

This is THE international trade show dedicated to composite materials. And we’re taking center stage at the booth of global leader Arkema to unveil this revolutionary eco-friendly windsurf board.

This #01 prototype is designed at the intersection of technological innovation and cutting-edge engineering. But above all, it’s made largely from recycled materials and is 100% recyclable…
We’ve even gone a step further, as it’s designed to be circular! Just like water, which we reuse endlessly without any loss of properties.

More than 20 companies have been involved in this prototype, which is a world first.
A special thank you to the following companies for helping us achieve this technical feat:
– ALTEN for eco-design engineering,
– Neo Sailing Technologies for construction, a leading shipyard for racing boats,
– Arkema for Elium resin,
– Alpha Recyclage Composites for recycled carbon fabrics,
– Evonik for Rohacryl foam

– and a big thank you to our entire Zephir Project ecosystem, including our major partners BPCE Solutions informatiques and Bechtle.

Antoine Albeau will test it on the water in the coming weeks with the Zephir team.
Through this project, the team aims to push the boundaries of performance in board sports and water sports in general. This is made possible by the use of these new-generation eco-friendly composite materials.

We are delighted to share this innovation with you in the video below, which was showcased at the JEC2026 trade show:

First sea trial of the SpeedEco, unveiled at JEC WORLD 2026

A 100% recyclable (and even nearly circular) eco-friendly windsurf board is already a world first… ?

But can this “eco” board perform on the water and compete with today’s top-of-the-line gear?!!!

There’s no better way to find out than with these onboard videos from yesterday, featuring Antoine Albeau at the helm, “going full throttle,” set against a backdrop of a group debrief at the spot.

Enjoy the video!

This first prototype, developed through the Zephir X ALTEN partnership:
– was built by the racing yacht builder Neo Sailing Technologies.
– using Arkema’s recyclable thermoplastic resin, Elium.
– recycled carbon fiber fabrics sourced from the aerospace industry (Alpha Recyclage Composites).
– a Rohacryl foam core from Evonik.
– with the participation of many other partners (23 in total).

A huge thank you to everyone for this first wonderful and encouraging step.

A huge THANK YOU to our key partners: ALTEN, BPCE Solutions informatiques, Bechtle

And to Severne Windsurfing, ins Original, Nautix, Jonathan & Fletcher, Forward WIP, SBG Systems, HP, CROSSCALL, Ansys, ADDL

Let’s get together to talk about it on stage and, of course, on the water with Antoine and Pierre. Our talk here
